Winning the Mercury Music Prize in 2015 for his majestic debut album At Least For Now, Benjamin Clementine’s piano led poetic narratives were introduced to a broad UK audience. Having already grabbed attention across Europe, Clementine’s music at times challenging and divisive, but always charmingly personal, began receiving the public acclaim it deserved back home.
Growing up in North London, Clementine took inspiration from poets like William Blake and TS Eliot. On record, he leads you through grandiose musicianship and captivating lyricism. His sort after uniqueness has seen him soundtrack the catwalk for British powerhouse Burberry and most recently collaborate with Gorillaz on Hallelujah Money from their current album Humanz.
Live, Clementine is accomplished and charismatic, and songs like London and Cornerstone will glow within the walls of Birmingham Town Hall.
Presented by Birmingham Promoters.
